Waylen: 3 Years Old

My first baby is three! THREE! What the actual F?!

How is that even possible?!?

I don’t even know where to start. Ahhh- I could cry! Over the last year Waylen has really grown into such a little man. He is such a goof, SO smart, and is just so fun to be around. He loves to reenact all his books, movies he’s seen, or even just activities he’s done before. He is amazing at independent play and can easily keep himself entertained all day if I left him. He also is so creative and loves making music, whether singing or drumming.

Some of his favorite things though are reading, The Hornets, Cam Newton, riding his pedal bike (which he just graduated to last week – without training wheels,) playing hide and seek, building “mousie houses” aka forts, pretty much anything car or truck related, running out in the rain, and Santa. Ha he’s really into Santa right now.

Some things he doesn’t like is pooping on the potty 🙃🤦🏻‍♀️, when his car seat is too tight, and getting bath water in his eyes. So basically he’s still a pretty easy going kid.

Not only has Waylen grown into his own little person but he has also grown to be the best big brother. Watching him interact with Kennedy seriously melts my heart. “Kennedy watch me do this!” “When you grow up Kennedy I can teach you how to ride a bike.” “When you’re a big boy Kennedy (😂) you can eat yummy fruit bars like me.” “I love you SOOO much!” I can already tell they are going to be best friends.

Of course though, he is a toddler and sometimes he does get a little jealous. In this cases he usually morphs into “Waylen Kennedy” aka pretends to be the baby of the house.

This past year he’s graduated to a big boy bed, potty trained, took his first DisneyLand trip, went to a few Panther Games, went on some beach trips, and even made it out to California a few times. He’s learned to take his clothes off, his abcs, numbers 20+, colors and shapes, lots of site words, and how to ride a pedal bike.

I cannot wait to see what this next year will be like! Though actually I can wait some because time is a thief and it all really does go by too fast 😭
